Any plans for adding buildings to this?

Yep, but I'm working on something else for this package. ;)

I've got big plans for the little guy ! Thanks for your great work :)

If all works well, I hope to reach out for more animations and commissions as my project progresses

For, now it's a bit casual haha, you can click on him near the logo: Dontdoit - The Development and Automation Club

Let me know when there's something, I'd be happy to take a look. 🌱

Dear Snowhex, My name is Oliver and I just turned 11 I LOVE YOU WORK That’s why my profile picture is your character and I really want to make a tower defence game with your models (not really sure if I could completely finish it) but I really need the premium but I’m just broke so I you are very geoursone i would really like this but I understand if you don’t. sincerely, Oliver

Hi Oliver, I think if you can get your parents to send me a contact email, I could send them a copy of the premium package over there. I'm really glad you like the assets. Best regards. 🌱

(+1)

Could you create a pack that includes buildings which would fit well with this pack?

(+2)

It's in my plans, not currently, but I do have it pending.

Is there a jump animation and if not would you consider adding one in the future?

I plan to add animations in future updates πŸ¦”

Hi! I wanted to buy this beautiful texture pack, but it won't let me download the premium version. I've tried several times, even trying with other friends to see if it would work for them, but nothing...
it would be awesome if you could fix this issue so I can use the texture pack

(+1)

Hi there! I didn't quite understand your comment. Are you saying that you wanted to buy it or that you already bought it and are having this problem? I also didn't understand the part about the β€œtexture pack” haha.

In any case, I would like you to send a receipt to my email (SnowhexArt@gmail.com) so I can take a closer look at the problem and help you. πŸ¦”

Sorry... I use a translator to support me with that I want to say, the problem is that it doesn't let me buy it, and I tried it myself and some friends, but none of them let me buy it.
I didn't think you would answer me so quickly! Thanks!
(Another thing, I probably meant to say ''resource pack'' instead of ''texture pack'', sorry again)

Hi! Congratulations on this new update. I'm about to launch my project and I thought your resource pack was perfect for it. It would be amazing if you could give it a try once it's officially released. However, since this latest update, I haven't been able to download the premium resource pack, not even the previous version. Do you know if this is something that will be fixed over time?

Hello, I just made some changes and, in theory, it should be resolved from now on. From what I've seen, it's an issue with Itchio that generates errors when changing things within the page.

Hii, I already bought the pack 3 months ago (by the way it's amazing!), but it asks me to pay again to get access to the latest content :(

Greetings! First of all, thank you very much. I think that kind of thing is usually a problem with the platform, since there's no way I can put that kind of limitation in place. I would suggest you try talking to itchio support. If they can't find a solution, you can also send me an email with some proof and I'll send the files that way. πŸ¦”

Hi, I have the same problem. Former purchases with some other price and discount can not longer download the premium file. Also some other creators had this issue, they could fixed it sameself. It has to do with the settings for prices and discounts. Maybe because of the price changes in the past, such problem can only be avoided in the future by a separate download option for the free version. Would be nice when you could take a look at it, thank you.

(The user "chroma-dave" had the same issue with one of his assets and could fix it. Maybe you can get in contact with him.)

Hello, thank you for the information. I made some changes returning to the previous price. In theory, that should fix the problem.

(+1)

It works now. Thank you.

Please when I download the files the player sprites don't appear do you know why

Hi n.n

The characters are part of the paid package.

(+1)

Hello, I have always been modifying and adding colors, so I am not sure if I could recommend a specific palette. I encourage you to experiment! New biomes will be coming soon. n.n

The new biomes are now available πŸ¦”

Just bought this lovely asset pack. Can't wait to try it out! Thank you so much for making it ^-^

Thanks for commenting haha

hi i love the pack but could you add like jumping animations and up and down animations for the character

Hi, maybe in the future, although I have already seen colleagues using a β€œjump animation” with the same running animation, cheers n.n

(+1)

Hi, i want this pack but i need to any customs, can you make this?

Hello n.n, as for characters there are already many variants, all with ready-made animations, when you say custom, what do you mean?

can i use it in free game

Hi, sure, you can use it in both commercial and non-commercial games n.n

(1 edit)

this is so good but tile mapping has been hell lol

Hi, let me help you, what do you mean by that? haha

κ΅¬λ§€ν•˜λ©΄ μƒμ—…μ μœΌλ‘œ μ‚¬μš©ν•  수 μžˆλ‚˜μš”?

Hi, Yes 🌱

(+1)

What a lovely asset pack, I love the color pallet and characters :)

Many thanks, Matt 🌱

(1 edit)

The premium pack is flagged as a virus by windows defender? Can you check it out

Greetings! I was checking and there is nothing that could have caused that, or at least not as far as I have seen, it happens to you with the Rar and Zip version

(1 edit)

with the rar file.

(+2)

Perfect for my game!

(1 edit)

i hope you could add more customization to the character or add more npc variants and probably some or more enemies/monster

also if you could add animations for tools/weapons

like

for weapon:

- sword

- bow (specially this)

- spear

- wand/staff

- etc

for tools:

- hammer

- fishing pole

- watering can

- shovel

- pickaxe

- generic doing something animation

- etc

also maybe some more theme like lava, ice, dark etc

Hi, thanks for the comment, yes I plan to add all those things, but I will do them as the package is being supported, currently I can not afford to advance it without more, but in the future all those things will be, or most of them. n.n

(+2)

Love your assets! quick question - I'm using the Godot framework and I'm working on a game that will procedurally generate a terrain. I noticed that your tilemap actually fits with this terrain map template i saw in some docs (see attached) - any tips on autotiling using your assets would be immensely helpful since im new to all this terrain mapping stuff

Greetings and thank you, about that system, I understand that the way I have ordered all the tiles is the most optimal and complete for the auto-tiling system, from there on I would not know how to help you, since I have very little experience in the subject of programming, I have also seen that there are tutorials on the subject, I hope this answer is helpful, greetings n.n

(+1)

Hey there! Great assets. What is "Basic Tiles 2.png" for? It seems like a simplified version of "Basic Tiles 1.png". Is it for collisions?

(+1)

Greetings, no, it is for simpler floors, without borders, as shown in the previews

(+1)

Hi, very nice pack! I would like to know what palette you are using? I want to modify your pack a bit and I don't want the colors to be very different, so I would be glad to know the color palette. Thanks!

(+1)

Hi, the palette I use is called β€œAREN32”, but keep in mind that over time I have been adding some other color that is not in the palette, if you have any other questions, let me know n.n

Thank you so much! Well, since you gave me the opportunity to ask something else, I'll ask when are you planning to add house interiors? Sorry for the question and thank you.

Currently it's not in my plans as I have a lot to do in other projects and Pixel Plains hasn't really had that much support yet, but I'll keep it in mind, who knows if one of these days I'll start updating all my packages ;)

Thanks for reply! Good luck with other projects :3

I'm having a hard time understanding the grid settings for Basic Character v1 spritesheet. No settings in Tiled seem to work :/

Hello, can you tell me in detail what the problem is?

(+1)

Hi thanks for the reply! I am using the Tiled editor to load Basic Character v1. In the options, I specify the margin (distance from image edge), spacing (distance between sprites), and sprite size. There are a few issues. The first is that the walking animation has a size of 16x17. You can see it here, where the character's head goes out of frame by 1 px. In order to get the character to fit within 16x16, and to preserve the vertical motion, I had to shorted the character's torso for that frame.

The second issue is that the margins are different for the x and the y, making it impossible to import into Tiled, which only uses a single "margin" value. I've added some guidelines to show what I mean. The x margin is 5, and the y margin is 8, but they must be made uniform to import into Tiled.

Maybe other tools have more flexibility when importing spritesheets? But I needed to edit it significantly to get it to work. Hope that feedback is useful.

Hello again, all the characters are arranged in sprite sheets, each one in a 24x24 grid so there is no problem at all, in fact you can directly use them in the engine asking it to take those measures (24x24) and it should work perfectly.

(+1)

Omg, how did I miss this! You are right. Thank you for clarifying this <3

Does this work with RPG Maker? I've Recently gotten into Game Development and am wanting to use this pack.

Hi!, I really don't know, you can give it a try with the free version and if it doesn't work, you can let me know what it needs to do to make it work.

(+1)

im diggin your monster design style

Hey, many thanks n.n

(+1)

its so pwetty~ ( ΛΆΛ†α—œΛ†Λ΅ )

Thanks :)

(1 edit) (+2)

Hello! I have recently become interested in creating games and would like to use your pack for my course work

Please tell me, is it better to place appropriate credit at the beginning of the game with the rest of the user agreements, or what would be more correct?

(+1)

You can put it wherever you prefer and you think it doesn't break with the aesthetics of the game haha, best of luck with the creation of these next games. n.n

(+2)

Great work!

By the way, is the floating star animation (shown by the sword) included?  I could not find it.

(+1)

Hi, I think I forgot to integrate them, but these days I will do it in addition with some extra content (update coming soon), thanks by the way.πŸ¦–

(+2)

Really nice pack ! I will credit you in my game for the godot wild jam 71 !

(+1)

Thanks, when you finish it, let me know and I'll go play it haha

(+2)

this is nice and seems pretty peaceful, looking forward to the rain update

(+1)

Thanks, I will try to bring it soon n.n
