About
Nefarius, a powerful wizard, battles against an evil slime army that has drained his land of magic. Defeating these slimes allows him to reclaim his power through the magic shards they drop. Help Nefarius restore balance and save his realm from darkness.

for some reason, whenever I try to start level 1 on Chromebook, it takes forever to load
I found a bug or glitch
After an upgrade, the skills can move to the middle of the screen or above. I'm playing on a web browser
Can I hope for a MacOs version? TwT
I get a lot of crashes on the browser and I'm afraid of progress loss T-T
This is a very good game! the laser needs some tweaking as well as the health things being a little bit difficult to see (could be my blindness). But anyways very well done and the music is great.

Good art and visuals. I have a problem and a couple notes. Firstly, idk if it's a bug or simply input issue, so my keyboard is set to keep pressing a key if I hold it down which I found out keeps me in a limbo and bugs the game by keeping me in the ability upgrade screen without being able to tap on any of them. I couldn't really figure out a way to get out since I'm not a bugs expert, just a regular guy. I found pressing T only continues the limbo and never gets me out. The only times I had a brief window of freedom was when the text came up. Eventually, tapping T to upgrade more than once can also put me in the bug, especially if I tap it while in the upgrade screen which I found out still reads my input and doesn't stop. Now onto notes, why am I able to infinitely upgrade without any cost being needed? I also found out I could upgrade in the lobby before I get into a match and it transfers over. It'd be nice if I wasn't able to upgrade without costs since it would defeat the whole purpose of playing (it wouldn't be fun is what I mean). I have another note or idea, it would be nice to have an exit button for the ability upgrade screen. Since sometimes people can accidentally press it and not want to upgrade in that time or maybe to save up for something that might become a thing in the game someday.
This is delightful! The music is awesome!
The visuals are amazing specially the laser beam, i wish it had a shorter cooldown and dealed more damage because it looks much more powerful than it actually is.
Overall i think the games lacks a bit of challenge, it would be cool an enemy that forces you to use dash to avoid getting hit.
The music is also great!

Permanent upgrades would be nice, it's a bit boring to start from 0 each time, more lore would be nice too, the universe looks cool, otherwise great game and finally a good "tutorial" which allows you to play freely

You should make the big slime give you more health when you kill them and maybe leveling up gives you extra hp

Sweet game, just a really chill implementation of the genre.
As for feedback, I can't really make good use of the laser. The upgrades only buffing damage is impractical and doesn't help. Lower cooldown or multiple beams would definitely feel better. The stunlock needs to be much shorter or have some other offset so you don't get surrounded or worse, killed when using it.
Good job, looking forwards to see where this goes.

how do i use the laser?
Hello, you can use it by pressing the F key, for the moment
There should be some more ways to heal. Than the little bit you get after a boss kill.
if you get surrounded by slimes, you are essentially dead.
Certainly for the new update we are working on it ;)

Good looking game, chill gameplay, but the collision detection is really bad, or maybe the slimes attack with their hands(!) at close range

Good basics here. Love the general feel and flow of the game.
Couple notes: Laser cooldown seems way too long; makes that weapon useless at low levels. And upgrading it never seemed to improve cooldown.
Looking forward to improvements you've already mentioned. It will be fun to see achievement system, more weapons, upgrade shop, et cetera. Keep up the good work!

I like the art, the design, the concept of wizard that lost his powers and will restore them by killing these slimes, diffrent color slimes, castles, floating islands, caves, ring of fire, ice armor, healing fairies maybe in the future? ill let my imagination go wild, polish it you guys and publish it on every platform, great job 5/5 i hope you make billions and settle chilling with either juice, tea or coffee chilling on your home desk with the big 3D dream on the horizon.

A suggestion is that the map should be more zoomed out, so player will have more time to react to newly spawned enemies. Also I think giving enemies outline or another color that contrast against the floor more might make they more noticable.

THIS GAME IS AMAZING, but I have one suggestion, you should be able to hide under the trees.

Hiding under the trees, why not, but what's supposed to happen? The slimes suddenly stop moving and walk around haha

fantastic game, i do have two small nitpicks, one, the camera movement follows the player and ends up lagging behind a bit, you can end up running into enemies without seeing them sometimes, i think it might help for the camera to follow a bit ahead of where the player is moving toward. And two, slimes should move a bit differently, instead of a constant speed of acceleration, they should dash in short bursts to match with their animation, so they're more so shimmying across the floor than sliding around. (the slime movement is more so for visuals so don't take it too serious.) All in all though the art is simplistic and fantastic, and the game feels great to play, Love it!

Pretty good game but I think it would be better if it had a chance to drop a healing item from an enemy, or make the health that drops from big slime heal more.

Desperately needs a magnet upgrade.
Shouldn't have to unlock boots and it should be clear that it's how how unlock speed upgrades.
I tend to die by enemies appearing in blind spots behind me.

Good game! Not much content, but this has a solid base. Gameplay is fluent, controls are good.
One improvement I suggest is to make the mouse cursor better visible, or indicate the direction of firing in another way. Especially when it's crowded it's annoying to have to search for the cursor.
Thanks for your feedback and thanks for pointing this out! I'm thinking of reworking the mouse by making it bigger and allowing the player to change its color, plus I could add an indicator on Nefarius and also, maybe an auto fire option
leveling is SO SLOW later on. The leveling formula should be a polynomial, like in Vampire Survivors where it's quadratic (xp required for each level is 8n^2, where n is the level). You can get this effect by adding to the needed xp each time you level up. It seems like right now you're multiplying it by some constant each level, which means the pace always feels like it's slowing down, since no computer can handle an exponentially increasing number of enemies for an extended period.

It has a strong core, but there is definitely room for improvement. The lazer is not explained anywhere in game, the faster rotation on the books seems to take a second second before starting up, leading to poor feedback.
i dont realy see future for this game but you can shut my mouth anytime. aslo, i realy love the shogun showdown.

LOVE THE GAME!
While I think this is one of the best games I've found on itch.io for free I think some changes like letting the player level up without being killed instantly at the start and also making it a little more obvious you've been hit.
